Objects 5.4 removes the load balancer VMs from supported AHV deployments, which cuts infrastructure complexity and opens the door to unmanaged networks with manual configuration. Upgrades hurt less too, thanks to rolling upgrades that shorten I/O disruption, and MSP bundle selection is now automatic for supported Prism Central and Objects versions. For access control you can now write object-level bucket policies based on name prefixes or tags straight from Prism Central, the CLI or the API, and new v4 APIs cover buckets, data movement targets and storage backends. A fix also restores optimal erasure coding strip sizing on AOS 7.6 clusters running 1N:2D.
