Nutanix has released Enterprise AI 2.8, an update built around finer-grained control: custom and predefined roles, permissions down to individual actions, and the ability to share single imported models with specific users instead of exposing your whole catalogue. Fine-tuning and Model Context Protocol support both reach general availability, the Agent Gateway becomes a separately licensed component, agents can ground their answers in your own documents with citations, and NVIDIA NIMs can now be deployed in air-gapped environments from NFS or S3 storage. Mistral Large 3 and NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Ultra join the pre-validated model list.
